Sessions are 50-minutes long | $150
I have a fee-for-service model and do not direct bill. Clients are asked to pay at the start of each session using credit, debit, or e-transfers. I then provide you with a receipt which you can submit to your insurance company (if applicable).
Most insurance plans cover the services of registered counsellors, but it is best to have this conversation with them and double-check your benefits package before your first session. Suggested questions to ask your insurance provider include:
1. Does my plan cover me to see a registered counselling therapist?
2. What is the maximum amount covered per therapy session?
3. Are there any deductibles?
4. Do I need a physician’s approval/prescription for coverage for therapy/counselling?
5. Is the annual total coverage amount for this service (per person)?
6. When in the year does my plan renew?
If your insurance company asks, I am a Registered Counselling Therapist-Candidate, registered to practice in Nova Scotia. My registration number is RCT-C23-002.
I also offer a limited number of reduced-fee spots for clients who do not have insurance benefits. There is a waiting list to get one of these spots, but if the cost of therapy is a barrier for you, please don’t hesitate to ask.
If you need to cancel or change an appointment, please provide 24-hours notice. I allow one missed appointment without charge. Unfortunately, payment of $50 will be charged for additional missed sessions.
