I work with various non-governmental and community-based organizations, as well as companies, to support the mental health and well-being of their staff. Many people work in challenging conditions and with challenging topics. These contexts can have a negative impact on staff well-being. Often this results in burn-out, compassion fatigue, and vicarious or secondary trauma. I work with organizations to provide tailor-made workshops in which staff can learn about mental health and how stressful work contexts can challenge this, and how best to sustain mental well-being despite these challenges.
Additionally, because of my research and evaluation expertise (read more about it here), I also work with organizations to develop improved client-centered approaches, especially when working with children, youth and families. This consultation includes service design and service delivery.
Previous clients include the Kosovo Specialist Chambers (KSC); United Nations International Criminal Court; International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY); Institute for International Criminal Investigations (IICI); and Justice Rapid Response.
I work with individuals and couples to untangle the challenges and problems they are facing and to find a strengths-based and solution-focused approach to managing these challenges in more constructive ways. In doing so, we add happiness and calm to what were often chaotic and unhappy situations. To support this work, we draw on additional therapeutic approaches that may be relevant to the work we are doing. These approaches include but are not limited to Solution Focused Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy and Acceptance Therapy.
