I’m Linda Liebenberg, DPhil, MACP and MARP, a Registered Counselling Therapist Candidate (RCT-C) and a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC). I provide adults (ages 18+) with caring and confidential counseling therapy. I offer predominantly video appointments but can arrange in-person sessions if these are preferred.
I have over 24 years of experience working in the field of mental health and well-being. I began my training as a research psychologist focused on supporting the well-being of children and youth living in challenging contexts internationally (you can find out more about this work here). This work has given me strong insights into the importance of relationships and context for our own well-being. It has also helped me understand the impact of marginalization and oppression on how people are able to manage their own well-being. Finally, this work has shown me the importance of understanding people as they live within their own culture and across diverse cultures. My own experience of relocating to Canada from South Africa in 2003 adds a lived experience of the challenges of moving between different cultures and especially adjusting to new spaces. My education, life experience, and clinical training make me an effective and compassionate therapist.
