Therapy

I provide counseling support for various issues, including mood disorders and lifetime experiences of stress and trauma (see the full list below). I use a trauma-informed approach, but also have specialized training in narrative therapy and often combine this approach with mindfulness, supporting clients to become aware of the factors that have shaped how they see the world and make sense of their place in it. Building on this, clients and I work together to re-author or re-frame how clients make sense of the world and their experiences in it.

I work with individuals and couples to untangle the challenges and problems they are facing and to find a strengths-based and solution-focused approach to managing these challenges in more constructive ways. In doing so, we add happiness and calm to what were often chaotic and unhappy situations. To support this work, we draw on additional therapeutic approaches that may be relevant to the work we are doing. These approaches include but are not limited to Solution Focused Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy and Acceptance Therapy.
